304 is the most common grade of stainless steel. 316 is the second most common grade; often used for food and surgical areas. It has an alloy addition of molybdenum to prevent specific forms of corrosion. It is also known as marine grade stainless steel due to its increased resistance to chloride corrosion compared to the 304 grade.

The direction of the pattern will run the length of the sheet – in the direction of the long edge.
